Overview

PhatWare NetProfile 2000 (NetProfile) is a utility program that allows a user to create multiple computer network profiles for each installed network adapter. This product was designed for Microsoft Windows 2000, permitting easy access to the Internet or LAN when you travel. With NetProfile, it is no longer necessary to manually change your network settings every time you connect your portable computer to a different network. A network profile contains the following settings: Network Identification (computer name and workgroup or domain name), TCP/IP (DHCP or static IP address/subnet mask, gateway, WINS, DNS), and Proxy Server (used by Microsoft Internet Explorer). When applying a new profile, reboot is only requited if the profile contains different network identification settings, such as computer name, workgroup, or domain. Otherwise, NetProfile restarts active network connections without rebooting a computer. While NetProfile is running on your computer, it displays an icon in the taskbar. A popup menu that appears when you right-click on this icon allows you to quickly apply network profiles by selecting a profile name in the menu. This menu is updated automatically every time when you create, remove, or rename a network profile. Benefits and features Familiar look and feel for Microsoft Windows 2000 users.
