CEniffer 1.0 - Network Monitor for Windows CE

CEniffer 1.0 for Windows CE is a pocket network analyzer. Once your Windows CE computer is linked to the network, CEniffer can give you complete information about the network state and activity, filtering out the data you don't need.

CEniffer monitors all network traffic, but it filters out the information you don't need. It combines the ability to display user-specified information, with the convenience of Windows CE computers.

To implement CEniffer, we have modified the driver of a NE2000 compatible PCMCIA network card. The key modification is added ability to switch the network card into promiscuous mode. While in this mode, the card monitors all packets transmitted by the network.

CEniffer Requirements:

• Operation system: Windows CE 2.10 and higher.
• Network card: NE2000 compatible.
• We had tested CEniffer for these configurations:
• H/PC Pro: Sharp Mobilon Pro (Sharp 5000), HP Jornada 820, Vadem Clio.
• Network Cards: LinkSys Combo PCMCIA EC2T, LinkSys PC Card NP10T.

CEniffer Installation Instruction.

If you're using any customized network driver for your NE2000 compatible card uninstall it. CEniffer.zip file contains installation packages (CAB files) for four processors: SH3, SH4, MIPS, StrongARM. Extract from the archive appropriate package for your hardware. Download the CAB file to H/PC Pro device. Double-click to CAB file's icon on H/PC Pro's screen. Answer questions during installation process. Restart H/PC Pro device.
