The Most Comprehensive Content Security Available!
eSafe Desktop provides the most comprehensive content security available in one product. By installing eSafe Desktop in your organization, you are automatically protecting your system from viruses, vandals, inappropriate content, data exposure, and resource misuse.
Includes:
A patent-pending Sandbox anti-vandal module - The Sandbox is
specifically designed to prevent hostile behavior before it happens.
Vandals are executed (automatically) as an internal process of
the Browser. The solution pioneered by eSafe is to use a security
system that verifies access of those applications to system
resources against a predefined, and limited Access Control List.
This way, all active content is controlled, including Java, ActiveX,
scripts, plug-ins, HTML, Trojan horses, etc.
ICSA certified anti-virus module - eSafe's on-access and
on-demand anti-virus scanners ensures a robust anti-virus
defense. Clearly, monitoring for known and unknown viruses offers
the most effective approach. When eSafe detects activity from a
suspected virus, it can in some cases capture the virus, add its
signature to your tables, and repair the infected file without the
need to wait for a fix. eSafe uses advanced techniques such as
behavior blocking, baiting, and automatic CRC checks to detect
unknown viruses. Also included new in version 2.1 of eSafe
Desktop are the Macro Terminator and Ghost Machine
technologies. These new technologies are designed to detect and
eliminate unknown macro viruses and polymorphic viruses,
respectively. No other anti-virus product comes close to matching
this level of protection!
Personal firewall module - eSafe Desktop includes a complete
communication filter to filter all Internet traffic and also creates a
desktop-level personal firewall. With this filter, you can restrict
access to web sites or newsgroups based on keywords or
categories. You can even block outgoing email containing certain
words, such as confidential company or project information. You
can control which protocols can be used, what ports are open,
and what times of the day they can be used.
Resource protection module - System owners normally spend an
inordinate amount of their time repairing or reconfiguring systems
that have been modified by others without authorization. eSafe
can control these modifications to eliminate costly and
unproductive repair time. System owners can prevent users from
installing software, modifying system settings, booting into safe
mode, and a dozen more options.
